After being a successful television and film director, I realized the work and the medium was not satisfying.  So I began to draw... and scenes I directed with a moving camera became graphic landscapes, city streets and people in a moment on canvas.  The emotion of a performance for the film camera became color and movement expressed and framed in compositions rendered with paint. .The influences of one medium became the aesthetics of another.  Some people say they can almost hear the sounds in the painted images. I hear them too.  That’s why I paint.      Robert Weinstein
